SF camp 2006
18-21st dec was my long awaited SF camp!
seriously, i dont understand why some of them had to be forced to go by their parents!
i'd rather go for camp than go overseas for holidays! haha
maybe cuz i havent seen SF for ages and thought i could use that as bonding time.
i did bond with my friends, but what im more glad about is that i bonded with the younger sec ppl =) very very happy to get to know them better! and they are a big part of the reason i enjoyed my time at camp too!
day1

we reported to church, played icebreakers, had lunch, collected our camp tee, had briefing, HOPPED onto the bus to the ulu ulu campsite in OLD choa chu kang.

my goodness i tell u the house was like heaven. ahha. CHANDELIERS! i forgot to take photo of that but yeah i was expecting some old camping-y sort of dirty house.

played double whacko while the comm members helped to clean up and set up.. those ppl have such weird reactions its super hilarious. i was laughiing like mad..then we got to move our stuff into the rooms. nice nice rooms =) then daryl, xuanxin and i went to practise for worship.

after dinner we had worship. i tell you, i almost fainted. good thing dorcas was there to help me, if not i really wud hav fainted from stage fright without even having to stand on a stage. haha lets just say my talent lies in the other fields. anything but leading worship. hehe.

sermon was on TEAM SPIRIT. VIPCPU. VisionImmersionPassionCommitmentParticipationUareimportant.

eh qinyi, a little gift frm me to you: xuanxin thinks commitment is the most impt. (if u wanna know. =p)

that night, we were still high and lively and we were told to go to sleep at i think 9 or 10+ while the comm had meeting. everyone in my room was in the comm except for beibei and i. all the hps were confiscated except for those of the comm members.TORTURE! anyway, beibei n i were the first to go to bed and the last to fall asleep. at like 2 plus. and we sang the night away. haha.

ok its getting abit boring so i'll just mention some activities.

brekkie competition, water games, movie, fear factor, baimiaobung, H2O, steamboat, take the lead, cemetry walk, appreciation activity.

silly and memorable stuff... qinyi the "molested"(by accident), qinqin the bride wannabe, qinyi the xuanxin fan, lydia shimin deborah the childcare helpers,zhi xi the superking, beibei the bellbell and my singsong friend, dotdot chairman the christmas teeth girl, zhijing the boyboy who thinks my name is goonie, zefeng the small bully, yihan is also the childcare helper, daryl the accidental molester, xuanxin the "qinyi's idol"

ze feng my camera hogger hogged my cam the whole of the last night and took lotsa pics of daryl, augustine, jia le and bla... so funny la. and he took the video of qinqin planning her wedding in four yrs time... I ENJOYED CAMP A LOT!

OCF perth gathering

so nice to meet them again! everyone who went still seemed the same.

aft that qinyi and i went to ps to find all the hotel cafes to look for mingming...
i told my dad that i'll be back ard 7 and 7 plus we still couldn find mingming
then qinyi went to ps to eat with her family so i decided to go to hotel rendevous myself to find her.
i walked round the outside of the hotel.. peeped into coffee club and i think this waiter was thinkin i was staring at him. hahaha . peeped into this jap restaurant.
NO MING MING!
it was almost 8 so i headed home. then at night she told me she works in hotel rendevous straits cafe! grr.
if i was brave enough i wouldn have let the past hour go to waste! BLEAH.
MINGMING! why never tell me ur workplace earlier. hiyoyo.
oh wells. i wanna work too!! hehehe.
i decorated the xmas tree halfway this morning.

we went to slide down cardboard mountain which is really actually just a hill.
we walked here and there till our legs were jello
we attempted to start a fitness regime which didnt really work out cuz of all the junk we ate.

I PUT ON WEIGHT! and i am very sensitive about it so please. DONT TALK ABOUT IT.
but u can date me out to the stadium or swimming complex to exercise. =D

but assembly band might not need me nxt yr after the gig..
which is on monday! which i am so so so so unprepared for.. AAH!!
back to my point, i would definitely want to join interhouse dance, IGSSA dance.. if i do get in..
and also i'll have ballet on fri evenings and sat arvos, OCF bible study on fri nights, church on sunday morns...
haha. this is crazy! but im still looking forward to nxt yr nevertheless x)

im thinking that its not all that bad now. haha like a kindie teacher or pri school teacher..

today is officially the last school day of year 11!
yipee!
now... exams.. yr 11 week, HOLIDAYS!
muahaha.
yay.
looking back at this year,
i think i've changed quite a lot...
i think i have become more mature (although i've always been =p)
i have become more independent
i've become more musical (believe it or not)
and i've become taller =D (nah. i didnt grow upwards actually.)
but i also regret when i think of things i could have done but didnt.
i could have enjoyed and cherished the first few weeks instead of complaining.
i could have been outspoken instead of being so silent
i could have spoken up for ppl being gossiped about
i could have gone to talk to the new and lonely people
i could have done so much more but its too late to be upset now.
i'll start doing them now =D

exams exams. its quite quick actually. didn expect it to come so quickly.
im gonna keep my nose stuck in textbooks, assignments, past year papers and all sorts of things that make u smart.

at night, i'll sleep with some exam guides on my face to let diffusion take place.

haha that reminds me of silly yurica. hahaha
we were doing some silly IPW project. or wassit studying for exams..
and she just plopped a book onto her face and lay on the ground
"i'll let the information diffuse into my brain!"
sigh. the good old days.
not that its bad now, but i cant say its the better new days.
you just cant compare it that way.

guess what!! i had like 4 band practices and 1 choir practice in this week!
in 5 days... gosh that sounds crazy...

fri morning assembly band (we ended up not doin anything. BUT I STILL WOKE UP EARLY!)
speaking of which.. heh. i was going to be late and i had a million things on my to-do-list..

6. brush teeth
7. brekkie
8. bring bag to locker
9. get drum sticks outta the locker

so i RAAAAAAAAAAAAANNNNNN like some marathon runner to the locker to get stuff,
SPRINTED all the way to the Performing Arts Centre. it is SO far away esp when u are in a hurry and you are late...
and i reached there panting like some weird dog, got the drum kit up to set up for band practice.
then when i wheeled the kit into the room, mr moore was like 'forget it. we dont need it.'
*FAINTED* haha i gave a weak grin and a faint surprised silly sound and wheeled the thing back. and all the running made my brekkie in my tummy jump here and there and gave me a tummyache.
AND I POO-ED BEFORE BREAKFAST! so i like poo-ed twice in the morning...
and once at night. hahaha what a good digestive system....

discipleship with kristi and glennabanana this week made me think of my life journey.
how obvious that God has been planning every single thing, never forsaking me.
moulding me, exposing me to new experiences and sending beautiful people into my life.
im so thankful for everything. how blessed x)

went to KENNY ARONOFF's drum clinic.
he's on his tour around the world and he went to singapore for one of them too! how cool.
anyway my drum teacher found out that their using our school's beautiful fantastic performing arts centre. "so you can just say that he's coming to your 'house'!" (because i live in the school boarding house)
haha apparently he is one of the world's greatest drummer!

BAND! rmbr how i told u i didnt really like band?
its getting better now (phew)
but only because i brought a pencil to the practise to write out alphabets above the notes.
i learnt to differentiate glocks,xylophones, marimbas, vibraphones.
do u know that xylophones are actually wooden??
well i always thought they were metallic until a few weeks ago. haha
oh and cus i joined HALE ST MARYS BAND 1,
mr harrison asked me to join ST MARYS BIG BAND (its a jazz band and its not big.at all.)
and cus i joined big band, mr moore asked me to join ASSEMBLY BAND!
and its not cus they heard me play. well if they did hear me play they may think twice abt getting me to play for them.
they are incredibly short of percussionists in school after the yr 12s have graduated.
so now they resort to taking in beginners. hehe.
well at least its worth the try. the most they can do to me is sack me. hehe

tonight, im going to a richard clayderman concert.
some fundraising thing by the church.
