and getting annoyed when people respond to this drawing like that "uh..eww, why did u draw a butt/panty...." THIS IS A LITTLE BALLERINA LOR! that's probably because i've been learning ballet all my life, thus i identify with it straight away. now people think im a pervert or smth =( hurhurhur

Revelations 3-To the Church in Laodicea
14"To the angel of the church in Laodicea write: These are the words of the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the ruler of God's creation. 15I know your deeds, that you are neither cold nor hot. I wish you were either one or the other! 16So, because you are lukewarm—neither hot nor cold—I am about to spit you out of my mouth. 17You say, 'I am rich; I have acquired wealth and do not need a thing.' But you do not realize that you are wretched, pitiful, poor, blind and naked. 18I counsel you to buy from me gold refined in the fire, so you can become rich; and white clothes to wear, so you can cover your shameful nakedness; and salve to put on your eyes, so you can see. 19Those whom I love I rebuke and discipline. So be earnest, and repent. 20Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with him, and he with me. 21To him who overcomes, I will give the right to sit with me on my throne, just as I overcame and sat down with my Father on his throne. 22He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches."
This was probably a verse that i read 5 years back which became my turning point. I was satisfied with what i was doing, attending church on sundays, when people ask, say that im a Christian. Passive Christian, Sunday Christian.. a Lukewarm, Passive, Sunday Christian. I was content, had everything i needed, no big problems in my life... and i got the shock of my life when i realised that God was about to spit me out of His mouth.
just like the old times in cedar choir. it required 200% effort and attention, the passion to aim to perform better because you know that there's always room for performance. or dance, where you have to put yourself right in the mood to perform well. or band, where you practise your part again and again to get it perfect.
making a commitment means giving your 100%. and God's called us, not so we can go "oh, i might as well", but exclaim.. "HERE AM I. SEND ME!" (Isaiah 6:8). i'm still learning.. learning not to shirk my responsibilities, learning to cut down on procrastinating, learning to strike a balance, learning to take charge of what i've been given, learning to commit everything in prayer, learning to please God.

Very early in the morning, while it was still dark, Jesus got up, left the house and went off to a solitary place, where he prayed. (Mark 1:35)--- something josh mentioned at bs leaders meeting today..

I haven't been praying as much as I used to, I probably should copy Jesus, wake up early in the morning, retreat to a solitary place and pray.

as much as I hate loneliness, sometimes I feel I need some alone time. SOMETIMES ONLY. to get away from things/people that make noise. away from the stressed feeling when i know i havent done stuff im meant to do, away from feelings that annoy me. and just pray..

Something in my heart

Burning like a fire

I want to live for You

Need Your touch right now

Fill me with Your power

Power to live for You my God

I will not be moved

I will stand for You

I will go where You send me

Jesus take me now

I am Yours

I am Yours

Lay my life on the altar

Everything I give to You alone

Here I am

Here I am

Here I am send me

[Here I Am- Planetshakers]

i remember first singing this song at convy when i made a promise to God, committing my life to Missions, serving Him with all i have. and after a few months, i sang it for the second time last friday but i didnt realise. the beginning of the song just popped into and got stuck in my head on saturday morning when i was at mat bay trying out that 'solitary place', praying and stretching at the same time from my long dist. jog/walk and waiting for lc meeting to start/siumin to return my call so she can let me into tommy moore (a college/hostel thing). anyway, i sought the wise intelligence from kristi the radio and found out that this is THE song =))

and i think it's a reminder for me. of that promise, that commitment I've made to God. I have no idea why I decided to walk up and sit next to a stranger today in the church cafe and realised that he's Peter Lee's dad-in-law, but anyway, he told me this.. "when you commit yourself to something, you put yourself into it. you give your life to it." he was actually talking bout my life as a student in Occupational Therapy, but that stuck to me. because right now, i've found out that i've made many commitments. but probably being too busy complaining about having so many commitments that i've not been doing much at all. commitment. responsibility. time. sacrifice.

BUT im glad =) i think i've sorted out some thoughts these few days, and i'm ready for challenge =D im ready to do my best in wherever God has placed me in! in school, subiworship, missions, missions rep, easter camp, cell tingtongs =)

I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me! (Phil 4:13)

so maybe, that's why God made me a lamp post.
psst..KRISTI! i forgive stupid for being stupid. im happy shining bright bright now so dont feel bad if i made u feel bad. i was being immature and childish and selfish. =) love you long time hahaha

i've always been an obedient girl. believe it or not, i have been and i still am. i listen and do what i've been told.

be this.

be that.

do this.

do that.

and then i find myself doing this, being that, doing that, being this.

you cant do this

you shouldn do that

dont go there

and i realise that sometimes i dont exactly have a reason for agreeing to those requests. because im used to doing what ive been told to do. well i probably do have my reasons. but i've no initiative and my favourite hobby is waiting for things to happen.

waiting for someone to tell me what to do

waiting for someone to call me

waiting for someone to text me

waiting for someone to ask me to go shopping

if noone does, i'll most likely spend the whole day at home, in front of the computer, eating whatever snacks i see around the house, and realise that its bedtime.

gosh.my locus of control is so externalised no wonder im depressed.

i need change. i need structure. i need discipline. i need brains and motivation. i need time. i need a retreat!

a beach nice and quiet, crystal clear waters, soft white sand.. sparkly in the sun.

sigh. God help me..

Pastor Graham showed us this photo during sermon today, of JFK and JFK Jr playing with his toy horsey in the Oval Office of the White House. "The Oval Office is the president's formal workspace, where he confers with heads of state, diplomats, his staff, and other dignitaries; where he often addresses the American public and the world on television or radio; and where he deals with the issues of the day." It isn't a place where anyone can just knock and enter and sit around as and when he likes to. People who enter have to actually be formally invited and probably go through many other people/planning/procedures before they reach the president. JFK Jr (at that time) wasn't a powerful man.. he was not a representative of any countries or whatsoever but he was allowed access into the office as and when he liked to. He did not have to receive formal invitations and go through different people or procedures. That was his privilege as JFK's son. It wasn't something that he had earned. It was a privilege GIVEN to him.

in a letter from Paul to the church in Thessalonica (aka modern day Salonica)

1Thess 1:4-10
4For we know, brothers loved by God, that he has chosen you, 5because our gospel came to you not simply with words, but also with power, with the Holy Spirit and with deep conviction. You know how we lived among you for your sake. 6You became imitators of us and of the Lord; in spite of severe suffering, you welcomed the message with the joy given by the Holy Spirit. 7And so you became a model to all the believers in Macedonia and Achaia. 8The Lord's message rang out from you not only in Macedonia and Achaia—your faith in God has become known everywhere. Therefore we do not need to say anything about it, 9for they themselves report what kind of reception you gave us. They tell how you turned to God from idols to serve the living and true God, 10and to wait for his Son from heaven, whom he raised from the dead—Jesus, who rescues us from the coming wrath.

how will you feel if God told you that He has chosen to adopt you as His child way before the creation of the world?

Eph1:4-10
4For he chose us in him before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in his sight. In love 5he[c] predestined us to be adopted as his sons through Jesus Christ, in accordance with his pleasure and will— 6to the praise of his glorious grace, which he has freely given us in the One he loves. 7In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God's grace 8that he lavished on us with all wisdom and understanding. 9And he[d] made known to us the mystery of his will according to his good pleasure, which he purposed in Christ, 10to be put into effect when the times will have reached their fulfillment—to bring all things in heaven and on earth together under one head, even Christ.

God has CHOSEN us to be His children, because He loves us. What does that mean to you?
