THE JOY OF THE LORD IS MY STRENGTH!

all you have been working for all this life, will it last? what have you done in this lifetime that will count for eternity? what will fade? what will endure? how do you make your life count?

may the good Lord bring you peace and joy in this time of sorrow.
find rest in Him as you dwell in His presence

did i say something wrong?

in this period leading up to the launch party of studentalpha in OCF Curtin, different things in my life has been causing me to think... what exactly is the meaning of life?

- perfecting my physique by watching my daily diet and making sure i drink X amount of protein shakes and what nots

- getting married, starting a family, having grandkids, growing old

- mugging like there's no tomorrow so that i can score a certain standard in my exams which will bring me more opportunities for work, getting high pay and retiring early.

- following my dream/passion as a musician/artist/athlete/i dont know what else, perfecting my skills and going into strict training until i reach perfection

- partying and having a good life

- watching all the dramas available in my whole entire lifetime

- having the perfect clothes to wear for each occasion/being fashionable

- being present at every great sale and getting the best bargains

- to become famous

and then... what?

what if we died before we reached the end point? what have we done that could be counted as worthwhile? what will last till eternity?

Praise to God for a Living Hope

3Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, 4and into an inheritance that can never perish, spoil or fade—kept in heaven for you, 5who through faith are shielded by God's power until the coming of the salvation that is ready to be revealed in the last time. 6In this you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while you may have had to suffer grief in all kinds of trials. 7These have come so that your faith—of greater worth than gold, which perishes even though refined by fire—may be proved genuine and may result in praise, glory and honor when Jesus Christ is revealed. 8Though you have not seen him, you love him; and even though you do not see him now, you believe in him and are filled with an inexpressible and glorious joy, 9for you are receiving the goal of your faith, the salvation of your souls.

What have we been created for? Let's ask God for the answer (:

i've been standing here in front of the laptop which is sitting on my printer for the past 5 minutes waiting for the last 1% of my physical rehab lecture to load. man its taking way too long.... gaahh and somehow i have a feeling it's gonna be stuck that way for the next couple of hours... AAAHHHH
