saturday's baking with esther, yanyan, josh n berts was productive although it was VERY LONG n it was driving all of us nuts.. causing berts to talk to bread and do weird dances to barney's mr sun song HAHA. but the breads were lovely =) well most of them.( we bought home the ugly ones hehhee.) and esther and family (including bruno their dog) were very nice and hospitable =D the oven was very friendly too and it worked hard non stop for like 8-9 hours!!

and thanks to esther, we now know how to make fruit loaves n cheese buns n sausage buns!



and sale was good =) thank you for the orders, purchases! we managed to raise $1000+ from the sales (including the cost price)

we had a prayer meet today and josh's sharing + all the praying reminded me of something more. this fundraising has shown us more than the money that has been raised, but also the love and support of the people around as and most of all, God's hands working to make this camp a successful one =)
i must say, i'm really touched that people were willing to pay $2 for the tiny buns (sorry i didn't know they'd turn out so tiny) and loaves and cakes as well.. pastors and people from church who allowed us to sell the stuff in church and helped us publicise it in the service, offered advice and showed much support =) the aunties and uncles who came to buy the food even though the prices might have scared you..the youths who came.. even by standing at the stall and looking at the things we have to sell, you guys have encouraged me and shown me support! and making the choice to buy the bread for $2 was also very encouraging! (because im a very kiam person and i like to make every single cent worth it) thank you for being so generous!

and then there's the people that donated money/ paid more than the total price. thank you thank you for your generosity! we've now got more than 2/3 of the amount that we're going to raise and it has only been 3 weeks since we started on our fundraising! thank you and thank God!

God is really amazing! we might be getting Tony Anthony to come speak at camp! the story goes like this.. OCF invited Tony Anthony(an evangelist) to come speak to us on the 24th April 09, but someone suddenly had an idea of getting him to speak for Easter Camp (10th-13th April 09) and amazingly, he has a free slot on the 11th, at the time which we had planned to do a workshop thing and were looking for speakers to come in for! so it all fits perfectly =D
