the night before i turned twenty, the dining table was a warzone of books, my head was heavy, my laptop knew i was going crazy.

at midnight when i turned twenty, i had my mobile on my left ear listening to special delivery of indian music and chipmunks singing happy birthday, then siums and joel singing happy birthday. on my right ear, i hear my family singing and eating my awfully chocolate birthday cake all the way in singapore.

thank you for the texts and calls and hugs and fb msgs :D it's v heartwarming to receive email notifications in the wee hours of the night/morning while im chionging my assignments

The Light That Never Fails

We all, with unveiled face, beholding . . . the glory of the Lord . . . —2 Corinthians 3:18


A servant of God must stand so very much alone that he never realizes he is alone. In the early stages of the Christian life, disappointments will come— people who used to be lights will flicker out, and those who used to stand with us will turn away. We have to get so used to it that we will not even realize we are standing alone. Paul said, “. . . no one stood with me, but all forsook me . . . . But the Lord stood with me and strengthened me . . .” (2 Timothy 4:16-17 ). We must build our faith not on fading lights but on the Light that never fails. When “important” individuals go away we are sad, until we see that they are meant to go, so that only one thing is left for us to do— to look into the face of God for ourselves.
Allow nothing to keep you from looking with strong determination into the face of God regarding yourself and your doctrine. And every time you preach make sure you look God in the face about the message first, then the glory will remain through all of it. A Christian servant is one who perpetually looks into the face of God and then goes forth to talk to others. The ministry of Christ is characterized by an abiding glory of which the servant is totally unaware— “. . . Moses did not know that the skin of his face shone while he talked with Him” ( Exodus 34:29 ).
We are never called on to display our doubts openly or to express the hidden joys and delights of our life with God. The secret of the servant’s life is that he stays in tune with God all the time.


Dear God, thank You for being so amazing! (: You do know my thoughts and fears and I thank You for speaking to me and reminding me to fix my eyes on You. To place my trust and hope and confidence in You and not people, because You are the light that never fails!

greatly blessed by camp liberate (OCF easter camp). God really moved and lives have really changed its such a joy to witness all these things!

there's been this recurring theme in messages heard this period of time (maybe since convy last year).. SEEK HIS FACE. BE SERIOUS ABOUT GOD. more often than not, we come to Him in prayer to request for things, occasionally to thank Him for His blessings.. but if He is wanting to be our FATHER, it is a relationship, requiring spending time in each other's presence, communicating, being still, getting to know Him, seeking His heart.

i love having aunty carol around. she gives so much insight during group discussions and her relationship with God alone teaches me so much. I WANT TO TUNE IN TO GOD FM!

thank you for dropping by today. just wanted to tell you how much God loves you. He can hold the universe in His hands. He's so huge. Compared to Him, we are probably this microscopic speck of thing. But He wants to be our Heavenly Father. He called us into a relationship with Him. But because we sinned and are not perfect and are unable to pay the penalty to restore our relationship with Him, He sent His Son to come to earth, humbled Himself into one of us- a microscopic speck of thing, facing the temptations we face, yet remaining pure and blameless. He was crucified and nailed to the cross by the ones His hands created, so that we could be proclaimed blameless in God's sight...
HE MUST REALLY REALLY LOVE YOU A LOT!

all you have been working for all this life, will it last? what have you done in this lifetime that will count for eternity? what will fade? what will endure? how do you make your life count?

may the good Lord bring you peace and joy in this time of sorrow.
find rest in Him as you dwell in His presence

did i say something wrong?

in this period leading up to the launch party of studentalpha in OCF Curtin, different things in my life has been causing me to think... what exactly is the meaning of life?

- perfecting my physique by watching my daily diet and making sure i drink X amount of protein shakes and what nots

- getting married, starting a family, having grandkids, growing old

- mugging like there's no tomorrow so that i can score a certain standard in my exams which will bring me more opportunities for work, getting high pay and retiring early.

- following my dream/passion as a musician/artist/athlete/i dont know what else, perfecting my skills and going into strict training until i reach perfection

- partying and having a good life

- watching all the dramas available in my whole entire lifetime

- having the perfect clothes to wear for each occasion/being fashionable

- being present at every great sale and getting the best bargains

- to become famous

and then... what?

what if we died before we reached the end point? what have we done that could be counted as worthwhile? what will last till eternity?

Praise to God for a Living Hope

3Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! i've been standing here in front of the laptop which is sitting on my printer for the past 5 minutes waiting for the last 1% of my physical rehab lecture to load. man its taking way too long.... gaahh and somehow i have a feeling it's gonna be stuck that way for the next couple of hours... AAAHHHH
